Contrary to the other dewatering method, horizontal vacuum filter employs negative pressure (vacuum) to extract the water/moisture in the slurry. A combination of filter cloth and rubber filter is rolled continuously to perform dewatering and washing of the produced cake. After cake discharge process, the filter cloth is washed to regenerate its filtration property.
Some of the popular application includes dewatering of earth minerals, gypsum, etc. The produced cake of vacuum filter is comparable to filter press in terms of dry solid. Due to the nature of its design, vacuum filter can produce continuous dry cake automatically hence giving much higher yield than filter press and much less water content compared to belt press.
Size available up to 4,5 meters belt width with up to 40 meters of filtration length, giving approx. 180-m2 continuous filtration working area. Continuous run with high dry solid content cake operation principle will answer the challenges of high flowrate sludge needed dewatering to minimum water content cakes.
