This section specifically describe a next generation dewatering equipment that utilises electro-osmosis working principle. Among it’s advantages are sludge cake weight reduction up to 50% without the hazzle of odour pollution.
The equipment developed by Korean Water Technology has successfully been implemented in various field of application such as municipality sludge treatment.
Electro osmosis is a dehydration technology that employs both mechanical pressure and eletrical discharges that is used concurrently to a semi dehydrated sludge cakes (as resulted from primary dewatering equipment) to remove interstitial and surface water of a sludge cake.
While conventional dewatering equipment can only remove the free water, ELOSYS is able to go beyond and dehydrate the interstitial and surface water.
With additional continous dryer, ELOSYS is able to remove BOUND water producing as dry as 15% moisture content solids.
